Trace was founded by three lifelong friends, brought together over a decade ago in school. Over the years, they discovered a common interest in tackling real-world problems with technology. In 2024, driven by a passion for innovation and the environment, they created Trace to end the wasteful paper trail that plagues modern transactions.

The Team
Mark Turley
Mark's journey began with a focus on electronic engineering, where he specialised in machine learning. His diverse roles within a global fintech provided invaluable experience, ultimately leading him to co-create Trace.
Shashank Gopal
Shashank studied computer science and honed his skills in consultancy roles, solving complex problems for global clients. This experience equipped him with the expertise and vision to co-found Trace, driving its mission to revolutionise receipts.
Thomas Haran
Thomas also studied electronic engineering, specialising in Artificial Intelligence. He gained valuable experience in a global fintech before joining Mark and Shashank to co-create Trace.
